Is this normal?

Last Wednesday I went into the ER for nausea and vomitting and while I was there they drew blood... I feel like my arm should look better than this or is this completely fine?

It's a hematoma, which is just a bad bruise. It happens when blood leaks into the surrounding tissue after a blood draw, inserting an IV, etc. They probably just didn't apply enough pressure after the draw to stop the bleeding into the surrounding tissue.

Its normal it took a week and a half for this bruise to go away after I had an iv done. When your pregnant your body is pumping more blood and fast to keep up with baby so you bruise easier and bleed more then usually with cuts. Its normal.

Mine looked so horrible when I got an IV at my local hospital. Got an IV the next week at the hospital I'm giving birth at and had a tee tiny bruise maybe the size of a dime 😳 there's a reason my local hospital gets a bad wrap! It took 3 weeks for that bruise to go away. Made me look like a abused wife!

Do you have low iron? My mother has really low iron and whenever she gets shots her arms are like that or even worse.

My arm did the same thing the last time I had blood drawn. I asked a nurse friend and she said it was just a bad draw/careless tech.
