IBS ??

Question

I have had my IBS for over a year now, would it class as a long term illness? My friend said I can claim benefits for it.

I am still able to work, just have to have some days off and take plenty of medicine, I don't get much sleep over it.

I have severe mixed IBS. I'm not sure about being able to claim benefits. But I know your job can't fire you for calling out if it's related to health problems. I gave my job a doctors note, just incase because some days are so bad I can't leave my house, let alone my bathroom.

Ibs is not serious enough to claim benefits for it. I have Ibs but I can only claim either jsa or universal credit. Hope this helps.

I was diagnosed with IBS when I was 12yrs old.  The stomach pains take your breath away.  Are you referring to social security disability?  You might be able to get supplemental. Depending on your job you might be able to take a disability leave.

I have had FMLA before for issues related to IRS, among other things. I was out of work for a month with different complications (several years ago). I guess this answers your question?
