Confused please help x

Hi sorry if this is long but I'm really confused. In March this year I had a mc, my doctor never sent me for a scan to confirm but apparently my hormone level was too low. I never had a heavy bleed just a light bit of pink spotting and burning pain in my vagina when going to the toilet. I explained this to the hospital and they sent me home with painkillers. My question is can I still be pregnant but getting negative tests? I've not had a period at all and they would normally be every 28 days. Can I also add I've put on weight and have had to go up a size of clothes but I'm not eating anything that I don't normally. Can anyone tell me what's happening?xx
