How many centimeters do I have to be to be admitted into the hospital without having strong or regular contractions ???

You have to be having contractions. Dialation without contractions is just dialation. Dialation AND contractions is what brings a baby

Our hospital here will not admit you unless you're 4 cm and having 5 minutes apart contractions OR your water broke. I was having just contractions with my first and got turned away multiple times because I wasn't dilated. They didn't admit me until my water broke even though I was in active labor for a month. I ended up having to be induced 8 hours after my wate broke because I still wouldn't dilate on my own

Every hospital varies on their policy some it's 4 and some 5 with and without contractions. Each person progresses differently too

Person above is right but also incorrect. My L&D (I'M IN NC) will admit if you're 4-5 cm even without contractions.

I think as it starts to open because sometimes you can go from 1 to 10 in 15 min, sometimes it is longer.
