Severe gas

Sorry if this is strange, but I had a natural miscarriage on Thursday (passed the sac and was told my miscarriage was complete via ultrasound) starting Sunday I began to have the most severe gas pain. It is the worst has pain I have ever experienced. I also it's asked to go to the hospital. It seems to be a little better today but I am doubling over in pain at least once an hour. I am confident it's gas and nothing else because shortly after I experience the pain, I pass gas.
