Would you throw your own baby shower?

Question

I am almost 26 weeks pregnant with our first baby. I live a fair distance from friends and family. I was talking to hubby and mum about a baby shower and I'd love to have one but feels odd throwing my own shower! My best friend is 300 miles away, parents 200 miles away and nearest friend about 25 miles away, I don't see everyone on a regular basis and everyone is so busy these days...  comments and suggestions welcome!

I would throw mine if my mom weren't planning to. To be honest, I am planning my own and have designed and bought my own invitations and supplies for the shower. My mom is only doing the food and it will be a BBQ in her yard.

You should throw your own shower ain't nothing wrong it ☺ or if your hubby don't mind throwing a little something for you guys that would be helpful as well but dnt beat yourself if u dnt get a shower just smile have a wonderful labor 😀😀😀😀

I personally dont think it matters, i mean if someone else does it or u do it, the outcome is a baby shower. My mother in law and sister in law r thorwing mine but they had me do alot of planning with them so i could do wat i want with it.
