13 week ultrasound?

My friend asked me if I was having the 13 wk ultrasound that checks growth and neck n spine.. I said not that I'm aware of as the only ultrasound that's set up is July 5th for anatomy

Maybe she means the genetic testing ultrasound? That's only if you choose to though.

That's what I was assuming ... Because I've never had these genetic tests done because I'd rather not stress over something I can't fix right now

I was recommended to get it by my doctor if it was covered by insurance ( which it ended up being ) & I was skeptical at first like do I really wanna stress myself out if I don't hear what I want .. But I prayed and I knew my baby was fine and I knew I'd do anything to see my baby on another ultrasound so I went ahead and did it and it turned out great ! The Sonographer even gave a gender prediction that 90% I'm having a girl .. Overall the appointment was amazing !

I just read about it. It's called an NT ultrasound that checks the neck and spine to see if they closed or something. I am getting my prenatal care at a birth center and they are pretty hands off as long as there are no risk factors. They haven't mentioned  the NT scan at all.
