I got the Depo shot on April 27 for the first time. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on May 8 (11 days after getting the shot), and he pulled out in plenty of time. According to my app cycle, my period is 3 days late. Is this a side effect of the shot, or could I be pregnant? I'm 17 and just starting to have sex, and the possibility of losing my period bc of the shot has got me so anxious....can someone please help a girl out here and ease my conscience?
(Side note: due to this scare, I told my boyfriend that he isn't coming near me unless he has a condom next time. He completely understood 👍🏼)
