Am I wearing thongs wrong?

This is hilariously embarrassing, but I recently noticed that in pictures of women wearing thongs the back strap of the thong is clear up their butt crack! 
My whole life, I have always bought thongs one size up so that way the back strap doesn't give me a wedgie and doesn't go between the cheeks. So in a sense the back strap sits on top of my crack-area rather then all up in it! (I hope this is giving you a good laugh by now)  
I truly want to know how majority of women wear them! Is the thing up all in your crack? Or sitting on the outside of your crack?

Haha I never really pull them tight and work it in the crack when I put them on, but they manage to work themselves in the crack before long.

Hahaha! Oh my gosh I do that too, I HATE wedgies and I'm trying to get use to thongs but I end up just pulling the back area out 😂

You don't need to purposely buy a bigger size so it'll stay out of your butt, it kinda naturally goes up there so there are no panty lines, hence the reason why things are worn lol. Just buy a regular size. Takes some getting used to but it's worth it
