How do you know when it's time??

Question

With my first I got induced by choice. I have no clue what it's like for my water to naturally break. Is there warning signs? Ive already lost part of my mucus plug. My belly is huge. My mother in law said that my belly would decend when time gets nearer. Is that true?

With my first... I started labor at home with contractions 2 mins apart for 2 hrs... Called dr and they said to come in. At hospital by 1:55 and my water broke at 3ish. I was walking to birthing tub to labor in and quickly said I had to pee so I made a turn for bathroom and there t broke. I apologized to nurse for peeing on floor and she laughed and told me it was my water... So glad I was at hospital

2nd I was induced so again broke at hospital but this time in bed cause they had to do it

Mine broke at home at 10 am. The only thing i felt was a pop. Which i thought was my bones. I didnt know it broke till an hr after when my underwear got wet and there was blood. I didnt "gush" till i got to the hospital. But everyone is different some leak when it breaks some gush when it brakes. But you will know when it happens.

I was technically induced but when I went in to be induced I was already in labor. I had been losing my mucous plug for over ten weeks. Unless there is blood it means nothing. It regenerates over and over. My water hadn't broken yet. However the night before I felt really off. I felt very sick to my stomach and had a ton of back pain and could not get comfortable to save my life. When I got to the hospital I didn't even know I was having contractions every 3 minutes. I was in shock.

With my first child i didnt feel nothing no braxton hicks contractions etc i never dialeted but my water broke when i was laying down and was trying to get up and pee i was home alone that day had to call my mom to get here i was a ftm and a teenager so as i touch my panties i saw blood and panic called 911 and yeah arrived to hospital with no dialetion until they did all that good stuff and started dialeting lmao but still i felt normal alll the way till my water broke didnt see any diffrence lol

I'm a FTM and I can't give much insight here, but as for the belly dropping, I've read that with your second pregnancy, your belly drops much later. It may not even drop until you've gone into labor!

With my first I went into labor at the movies with my older sister (watching sex in the city 2), my contractions were 8 minutes apart I stayed for the whole movie lol by the time I was on the way home they were 5mins apart my belly dropped massively and I had lost my mucus plug 3 days before

With my first, my water was broke in the hospital. My labor started with contractions in my back.  With my 2nd baby, my water broke. I was sleeping in our recliner. I'm not sure if I woke up and when I moved my water broke, or if my water breaking is what woke me up. It was a gush though. No signs ahead of time, but I had lots of strong braxton hicks contractions with my 2nd baby, and never noticed any with my first.
