Easydex 100 bvo free glucose test legit?

I failed my one hour glucose test and had to take the three hour which consisted of drinking 100 grams of easydex. After 20mins the room started to darken and i suddenly saw stars and got violently ill. I was in bed for two days after that. So they had me return 4 days later for a redo. This time I brought my husband and they had me eat two scrambled eggs. It wasnt easy but I made it through. The next day I got a phone call saying I "failed miserably, I did absolutely horrendous and they do not understand how I even passed the first hour unless it was from the two eggs".  I was told I had gestational diabetes and a glucose monitor was being called in to my pharmacy. She then went over all the dangers and health risks to me and my baby and set me an appointment for this coming tuesday. 
For the last 4 days I have not changed my diet except for no toast in the morning or rice with dinner. I test my blood when I wake up for my fasting numbers, and both 1 hour and 2 hours after a meal. My numbers have been perfect. Not one has been slightly close to high. So i ate toast with breakfast-still ok.
I normally eat very healthy, my husband is a health freak. 
Im starting to think the test was bull, and putting such abnormally high sugar into a empty stomach just shocked my system and not the best way to test for diabetes. Plus the main ingrediant was dextrose, something I advoid. Anyone else experience this?

I think that if you normally eat healthy and lower carb, hats probably why your numbers looks good. Because you normally don't consume a lot of carbs of sugar. Try eating a high carb/sugar meal and seeing what it does to your blood sugar. A piece of toast or a little bit of rice isn't going to do much, even if you have gestational diabetes. But if you eat a high carb meal, say 70-100mg and check you blood sugar an hour later and it's over 120, you likely have some glucose intolerance. If it's under 120, then maybe your theory is true. Just try it out and see! GL!

That sounds horrific.  I'm so sorry.  I didn't experience anything like what you did, however I ate a whole breakfast AND lunch before my test (it was a late afternoon test) and was allowed to walk around after drinking the gross stuff and I think that helped immensely.

I agree that the test isn't an accurate indicator of how your body would react normally to, say, a donut. Usually we ingest 50g of sugar with added fat and carbs to help with absorption.  That being said, it is designed as a test, so in an extreme scenario how does your body manage a large influx of glucose?  It sounds like you may need to be more careful than others just to be on the safe side.  Does that mean you can't have bread?  I honestly have no idea, I would talk to your doctor or get a second opinion.

One more thought - 50g of glucose may seem like a lot, but it is actually the same as 2 candy bars.  Again, the glucose drink is artificial and not a true reflection of reality, but just something to keep in mind as you struggle with what to do moving forward.
