Um okay I started my period at 11 and I was NOT ready for sex. I didn't even know what sex was. You'll know when you're ready. I was 17 when I had sex and I was 100% ready.

I started my period at 11 so no o was not ready for sex. I didn't lose my virginity till 18 and I actually regret that decision. If you're questioning if you're ready then no you are not ready. Your period means nothing when it comes to this choice. It's all about maturity, who you're choosing to sleep with and other mental and emotional factors. Don't have sex until you're 100% sure you're ready.

When it comes to being ready to have sex you have to look at a lot of things such as your age, your mental state, relationship. 
Personally my own opinion if your thinking about having sex have it when your in a very serious relationship that has marriage potential reason being sex is a very emotional intimate connection and your body is a temple and it should be worshiped.

When you start your period, your body is ready to start reproducing.
