Planned c sections! How did yours go?

Question

I am most likely going to be delivering my second child via elective c section, but having never had one before I would love to know your stories and experiences!

What was it like? How quickly did you heal? When were you able to do things?

I don't drive so that's not a concern for me and I am a stay at home mum so don't work, but I will have an 18 month old by the time I have the c section so just a little worried.

I have to have all my children by c sections. My first I went into labor and then Into emergency c section it wasn't bad a lot of pressure is all I felt and it was way quicker than I thought the whole thing took like 20 minutes my second was planned since they knew I couldnt deliver naturally the epidural hurt more ( I think because I wasn't in any pain when I went in so it was fully focused on the pain of the needle) but after it wasn't bad it was awkward if anything every time I wanted to stand up it felt like my staples where ripping (but they weren't) and it was a bit tender when I laughed. My daughter was 18 months when I had my son the only difficulty was picking her up to put her in her crib...so after the first time I realized that I was going to have to pull down the front of the crib and help her crawl in. But after two weeks I was fully functional as far as pain wise and was on a good walking exercise program at 6 weeks so don't be stressed about it it goes fast when you have a little bundle of joy to enjoy. I had a c-section with my first the whole process was fine altho was very nervous I felt very sick afterwards but soon stopped when the pain relief eased off. I was up and walking the same day my advice would be keep active the more your sat and layed the worse the pain is but u still need to take it easy xx

I am about to have my second. My first one was actually just fine and not scary. (I suffer from anxiety) The spinal they give is much easier to get than an epidural for some reason and had no pain there and the csection itself was quick and maybe about 45 mins from walking into the or to being wheeled into recovery. My only complaint was the itching that the meds caused from the surgery. I bought a bellefit corset for after because I heard some personal experiences that it helps with being able to walk up right sooner and less pain.

I've been told I'll probably have to have a C because my pelvis is android shaped, the baby's head couldn't come out. I'd like to hear other people's stories too! Thanks for asking this!!
