Advocare's Spark safe????

Question

My doctor said not to take spark due to the vitamin A, but I've read a lot of people take it when pregnant. I just would like to know your thoughts on it. I loved spark pre pregnancy and feel like a new person (I was drinking 1/2 of one a day about once a week on the days I really needed it before my last appt then the doctor said I shouldn't but not due to the caffeine (120mg) but the vitamin A????? I am taking an prescription parental tab but she said I could overdose on Vit a? Please advise would love to be able to drink it if I can every now and then :)

Listen to your doctor. If they said no then don't do it. I work with a lady who sells advocate and she doesn't even recommend that I drink it till after I have the baby. Even then she thinks I should wait till I stop breastfeeding. I'd consult your doctor when it comes to things like that, regardless if other people are doing it. I'm a first time mom and every appointment I feel like I ask my doctor if I can eat something or what not lol

Too much vitamin A can be toxic for baby. There's a few supplements that you aren't supposed to take because of getting too much vitamin A. Another reason it's advised that you should only take 1 prenatal vitamin per day.
