Having teeth pulled ?

Has anyone know if it's okay to have teeth pulled I'm almost 19 weeks and I'm going to have two teeth pulled .. I forgot to tell my Dr but was wondering if it's okay? I know my cousin said she bleed after she got some pulled when she was pregnant

You're going to bleed after getting a tooth pulled. I worked as a dental assistant and yes, you may get your tooth pulled. You need to be in your 2nd tri, but it is necessary to keep your oral health absolutely prestine during pregnancy! You may beed a note from your ob or midwife clearing or okaying you.

You need to tell them because you can't get gas but they'll numb you&there's 2 types one is safe for preg &one isn't. .i just had a tooth pulled last month & on the 11th of this month. .still hurts but no pills 4 me. Hard to eat too.

I had a tooth extraction at 19 weeks. 😞 I didn't bleed to bad. I clotted fast. You just need to be aware of the pain med prescribed for after wards. Majority of he pain meds make your blood thin which in return can cause fetal bleeding. If your not sure what the med is or if you can take it always ask the pharmacist they know it all when it comes to meds. Mine told me to take Tylenol, which is the best given the fact that I was pregnant.

I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out at 35 weeks and I was awake the whole time they just numbed me and gave me Tylenol and Norco but I only had to take the Norco one time to sleep on the first day and everything has been fine. I swelled up but my dr said it would be okay and just got checked baby is fine (:

I work for a dental office. You are good to go! Just make sure and tell them and call your OBGYN office before appointment so they can fax over any pain med restrictions :) also just a heads up! I know in my state it's madatorty to take an X-ray before any extractions. So ask them to give you two led aprons just for extra protection (but don't worry to much about the radiation. You get more from walking out side or the microwave in your house than at the dental office.) but it will make you feel better two have both on:) good luck!

Let yr dentist know yr pregnant and be aware of the teeth being pulled got two back molers pulled and had to get stitches due to bone breaking but also be aware of how much numbing your getting I got 12shots to numb me and went in to preterm labor that night

Just had two wisdom teeth pulled at 36 weeks. Only a half day of any significant pain  as I had it done at about 3pm. By the next morning I felt so much better. I was talking, eating, did not need any Tylenol, and all bleeding stopped.

The dentist told me that they can't and won't put me under they are going to make sure I don't feel anything and give me a shot to that it stays that way
