We waited until the first ultrasound. My family lives thousand miles away from me, so Facebook is definitely a tool we use to communicate with them.

We posted on Facebook with our first as soon as we got the first ultrasound. I was only five weeks at the time. This pregnancy, I'm not announcing at all. I don't want anyone in my business, even family, as I got a lot of negativity last time. They can see the baby when he comes as they'll be less likely to have negative comments. To me, other people just lost the privilege to know about my pregnancy because of the way I was treated the first time.
But whatever other people do, that's their business. If they want to announce early or late or not at all,  it's all good.

We told our family and close friends first, waited a few days then posted it on Facebook.  I was about 5 weeks when we did it
