Stitches healed wrong??

Question

So I'm a FTM 4.5 weeks pp. After my husband took a look down there and said it looks weird I decided to take a look for myself.  I have a small,  maybe 1/4" long hole midway down the tear scar.  Am I still healing or did I pop a stich resulting in the gap?

Also the skin feels hard and has small lumps at the base of the scar.  Is that normal to the healing  process? Maybe the stitches haven't completely dissolved yet ??

Anyone have similar issues?  Did it end up healing purposely on its own?

I popped almost all of my external stitches. I'm 8 weeks PP and still don't feel quite right yet. It sounds like you did pop some stitches. It will heal, just takes forever apparently lol

If the hole looks like an open wound you may have popped a stitch. They don't restitch as that can lead to infection and it will close by itself - I had a small section pop like that and within a week it was closed and healed. Mine still feels lumpy though at 7 weeks

My doctor told me to anticipate hard skin, bumps and discoloration as it heals and that they usually go away in a few months. I am now sure about the hole I would contact your doctor about that.

The lumps around it is normal from what I recall of stitches. It's just tissue that's still healing I think. My cay had lumps and my vet said it was normal and they'd go away and they did. Not sure about the small hole but I'd call your Dr if you want a more definitive answer since only you and dh can see it.
