Any ways to make late periods come?

Hey girls! I need your help! So I've talked to my family doctor about birth control and she claims I need to get my period again before I can start birth control. I'm a little worried that it won't come anytime soon! I'm already 83 days late! ( I'm not pregnant either I went in for a pregnancy test ) Do you guys have any tricks up your sleeves to help me out?!
