Hemorrhoid removal surgery

I have really bad hemorrhoids, like Google images dramatically horrible hemorrhoids. Nothing I do makes any difference and I've had these things for years. About 11 years actually, and they just get worse as time goes on. Has anyone had this problem and had them removed or tried a home remedy that actually shrunk them?
