Normal spotting after cervical check?

I'm 38 weeks and had to get my cervix checked 3 times yesterday within the span of an hour. I've never spotted after being check but this time I did, which is expected because it was quite irritating to my cervix. I was barely spotting, little bits of red and brown when I wiped and a little dot in my underwear. Now, almost 24 hours later there's more? There's an entire streak in my underwear from it. It's old blood so nothing fresh but is it suppose to increase after a day?? Is this normal?
