So my husband is mad because our 12 week old dachshund isn't fully potty trained yet. He is threatening to put her outside. I paid for her and is currently training her. I told him if anyone goes outside its him. Am I out of line?

My chug was around 5-6 months before she properly got the hang of it, we never let her sleep outside, it's trying to take them regularly and give them lots of fuss and attention when they do it outside, also waiting outside until they do something then give them attention

How is the puppy supposed to know until trained? What does he expect, your puppy is just born potty trained? Is he going to out your children outside when they have an accident? Yeesh I would be saying the same thing if my husband were that ignorant about a puppy!

Haha my husband is the same way about my cats sometimes. He's let it go though mostly now cuz he knows I'm serious that I won't give up my cats cuz I packed him a bag of clothes to last 4 days the last time he said if you don't get rid of them I'm leaving. So I packed him a bag nice and calmly and handed it to him and told him to leave then. He never has and never will. He likes our life too much to not threaten me with leaving me and our kids over my cats.

When my husband trained our pup she was maybe a couple months but he would drag her to the pee and make her look at it and tell her no it sounds mean but it worked she would run straight to the room and not move and she didn't pee in side again after that now when she goes and waits to be let out side she gets a treat but she is a pit
