Drinking Too Much Water

Is this possible? I drink one gallon (128 oz) a day. But with it getting warmer and more humid (it's a New England thing), I find myself drinking more water, about 150 oz. I know you're supposed to take your weight and divide it by two. This is more than my weight in two, but if you're thirsty shouldn't you drink? I was told I could be ruining my kidneys. I don't want that! 🙈
