Thoughts: children choose their parents before birth?

I'm intrigued with reading I've done recently (we're starting to ttc) about children who tell their mothers they remember choosing them in the stars/heaven, sometimes with an angel, God or a voice/ presence showing them a slideshow or projector of women or couples. Then they're born. Sometimes they say they also chose siblings, agreeing before birth on it.
I'm not religious myself, but might believe in reincarnation.
Has anyone else heard about this, or known a child who's said that kind of thing?

Haven't head it, I don't believe in a God, but I do believe in the soul and having multiple livetimes. I would like to believe there is a soul out their picking my partner and I as parents 😇

I believe in God fully, and I know this true. I also know that my daughter who passed away, picked out this baby special for us. she's our guardian angel, and she's keeping her eye on us, and protecting us from above, me, her father, and her baby brother/sister.

I've had theories about things like this and it's amazing. I was once told as baby's we are given the choice to be a boy or a girl.

No but I read somewhere that the key people in your life are the same key people in every life your soul lives. That's why you have different connections with people in your circle, including people you do not have a good relationship with.
