Best foundation

I tend to have some sort of acne. I any to the dermatologist, and its been a lot better. But, finding the right foundation is hard. Plus my face gets dry really fast. I've heard that just moisturizing your face before putting on any makeup works. And it really does. But, it still doesn't help with the foundation problem. My mom bought me Neutrogena skin clearing complexion perfector, just to try it out. I really don't see a difference. Its either that or I don't know how to put it on. ⚠HELP⚠
