Baby Trend Infant Seat?

Does anyone have this brand? I've always used Graco before, but this time we got a Baby Trend Jogger Travel System. We can not install the base into our car and it feel secure. The back end secures tightly with the safety straps but the front end easily raises up. If you have it, is there a way to secure it better? Or do you move the seat in front of it back, so it holds it still?

I've never liked the big name cutesy type seats they have like at Walmart. We went with peg perego, diono, Britax, and more recently a cybex. The construction is better, materials great quality and they are tested at higher speeds than your Graco, evenflo type seats. Look at the crash ratings on different seats. We've been in 2 accidents with babies on board and dd was barely affected in the big Britax Boulevard even with a 45mph t-tone after a guy ran a red light. I get anxiety putting my baby into something I can't see reports on as being super safe. But I'm a total car seat mom. My oldest was in a booster til 11 cuz he was small and dd only graduated from 5 point harness at 6 into the same diono Monterey booster (bit purple vs blue, of course) ds had been in. If you done feel right about it then don't do it. Those mommy gut reactions are there for a reason.

The front is supposed to raise. The foot of the base is what isn't supposed to. That being said baby trends don't fit most newborns because the lowest harness slot is too high to be behind their shoulders when born.

No, never have the other seat touch it. Very dangerous. But when you put the carseat in and put the seat belt across it it will hold it in place. The safety straps are just to keep it from flying forward, you still have to buckle carseat in with seatbelt. Good luck and congrats on your newest edition ❤
