Glucose test at 10 weeks?!

Question

I had my glucose test this week and I'm only ten weeks. They told me they will re test later on, at 28-30weeks. It just seems really early to me. Anyone else been tested so early?

Is it because of my weight? My BMI is 33 and I do have other health issues unrelated to weight. Do they only do early testing in high risk pregnancies?

My doctor did mine at 10 weeks and will repeat at 24 weeks due to being overweight and my age

I'm technically obese and have high blood pressure and I didn't do my glucose test until I was 26 weeks.

I'm overweight and I just did mine at 28 weeks. Every doctor is different tho.

They didn't for me and I'm high risk with overweight and high blood pressure. I did my glucose around 20 weeks..  somewhere around that time.

I did mine one hours test at 9 weeks and I failed. This morning I just had 3 hours test done and still waiting the result . I don't think cause the weight or BMI , it is more like your family history or your high risk prengnacy . Both of my parents have diabetes so my OB order me do the test early . My BMI is 20 and I eat healthy meal I don't drink sweet soda or milk shack , I don't really eat sweets just have cookies sometimes . Before I got pregnant I work out 5 days a week and eat vegetables daily .....but my one hour result was 171 , it is pretty high I think .

They only usually test early if you had previous gest diabetes.
