Just curious

I normally have super light periods, like last three days and hardly any blood. But the last five months my period have been horrible. I bleed through both tampons and pads, I'm changing them every hour, I cramp so bad I can't move and I'm passing blood clots constantly. They also last at least 5 days now. I've never had this issue. Could it be serious, or just my body being silly?
