Twins?

Question

I've known a bunch of sets of twins in my life, and I've also seen how they grow up. I've seen parents who give their children very similar names, cut their hair the same, and always dress them the same. I've also seen parents who never do anything the same for their twins and have them grow up differently. Just curious if you had twins which would you do?

As babies probably do everything same just because it's cute but once they are big enough to say what they want for sure let them be who they are and pick different things if they want.

I dress my babies different, and give them different hairstyles they are not the same baby.

I think it's cute when they're babies and possibly into the toddler ages but after that it's kind of silly.

I knew someone that constantly dressed her twin boys alike. She got so mad when I asked her why... At 9 years old it looked corny

My sister has identical twin boys who are now 5. When they were newborns, nobody but my sister & her husband knew which was which. They left the hospital bracelet on one of them for the first couple of weeks, but knew they couldn't do that forever. They then started dressing them differently and once they got enough hair, parted their hair different ways. It was so difficult to tell them apart for the longest time because they really were identical as babies and even weighed the same forever. When they were 15 months and walking, one of them ran into a shed in their backyard and had to get stitches on his nose. He now has a scar there so we know that's him, plus now that they're 5 they dress totally different and their hair is cut a little differently too. I know who is who, and they're personalities are not the same. They never want to dress alike ever, not even for family pictures. I think when twins are little then fine, dress them alike IF you can tell them apart. When they're older, no. They want their own identity.

I personally think it's cute to match at first, but when their personalities start emerging I'd start dressing them differently. Just for my own sake of mind lol. :)

I think as babies, I'd probably dress them the same or similar. I wouldn't give them names that are similar though, I know a set of twins who had the same name, just a 1 letter difference and I ALWAYS called them the wrong name-knew the difference in looks, just names threw me off. And when they get older, they will obviously have their own personalities. So once they set those, itll be different.

I wouldn't give them names that are a letter off from each other. But I don't think matching baby clothes are an issue. But when they get older as in toddlers and stuff I think it could cause problems so I'd just have them pick their clothes out like every other kid does. I wouldn't be like you can't talk perfect yet so you don't have a say
