Bring on the pain

Is anyone else genuinely REALLY excited about experiencing child birth, and not scared of the pain? When I say I'm genuinely amped about it people just say 'you won't be saying that on the day!' or things to that effect... I feel like it's what I/we were born to do and feel soooo capable of it, so incredibly excited to put my body to the ultimate test and see how it functions at peak performance but feel like people think I'm ignorant or trying to be staunch.
