Emergency C Section!

Blaire
Went into my 39 week appointment on 5/12, and my OB was prepping me for a membrane sweep to get things rolling. That's when we found out baby had flipped from being head down at 37 & 38 weeks to being feet down! She discussed my options and so we went ahead and scheduled an induction for the next day, hoping in the meantime I could either get baby to flip overnight or they could flip her on Friday afternoon before they induced. That night I showered and cleaned up the whole house so my husband and daughter wouldn't have to worry about too much while I was in the hospital with baby. I had only been asleep for an hour when I woke up to the most intense contractions, lasting 1.5 minutes and less than 2 minutes apart! Husband and I dropped our daughter to my inlaws & rushed to the hospital.
We pulled into the ER at 3:20am, they rushed me to L&D, within 10 minutes they had ran an ultrasound and found that she was trying to flip from breech, but was having too much fun spinning in circles. They didn't want to risk her being transverse if I pushed, so I was quickly prepped for an emergency c section! It was my worst nightmare, but in the end it wasn't as bad as I imagined it being and baby was born healthy, so I couldn't ask for more. Marley was born at 4:12am on 5/13! So happy to not be pregnant anymore 😂 and excited to start being a mama of two awesome little girls ☺️
