Postpartum flu??

I gave birth 5 days ago - feel like I'm dying. Shivering, migraine, so dizzy I can't walk, legs feel like cement. We just got home from the hospital today because my son had jaundice. I don't want to go back there but obviously if this is serious I have to. I've read some people feel like this when their milk comes in/wave of hormones. Anyone experienced this? Please someone 😩

Yes I felt like I was going to die or something! I definitely wanted to go to the er but called my Dr office and they said it was normal because I was breastfeeding. I was like that for 2 weeks after getting home. I'm 7 wks pp and it went away now. But if you are very concerned I would go in!

Do you also have vision changes? I had that 12 hours after delivery and it did go away. Does your stomach hurt a lot as well too? I told my Dr and she suggested a post partum support belt and it actually helped a whole lot more with my cramps and up until I got it I wanted to puke.

Sounds like mastitis - get massaging those breasts, find the lumo/blockage and get it out. Pump, gets bubs to feed, just get the milk moving. Once it is out the flu feeling will subside

Could be mastisis. But for me it was breast feeding induced hypoglycemia. I learned how to eat right for hypoglycemia (it's a learning curve tho and I'm still learning) and found a vitamin that had vitamin K, magnesium, and chronium. (Rainbow light prenatals) and I feel so much better. So maybe look into that. But definitely go into your dr what your describing doesn't sound like just hormoans.

You should definitely see a doctor, asap, you could have mastitis, and that can get VERY serious, really quickly. Good luck momma, and congratulations!
