"Designer" hospital gowns

Has anyone else brought their own delivery gown to the hospital with them for a previous birth or planning to for this one? I've purchased a labor and delivery gown from Baby Be Mine, it has the same basic design with medical access (opens in back, slits in front for fetal monitor, snaps on shoulders) as the hospital gown but is all black and looks more like a dress. I am wondering if the hospital staff will give me a hard time about wearing it. I find the normal hospital gown to be itchy and stiff and too large for my 5 foot frame and would much rather be comfortable while giving birth. Thoughts?
