What to do?!

Hey Ladies,
 I need help! I'm currently 30 weeks and 2 days, and today I'm hurting like I never have before! I have pain in my back, my stomach will get hard and loosen back up, and earlier I had that feeling like I was fixing to start my period. No blood, but I'm really worried because it's still so soon! This is my first baby I have no idea! 😱

I wouldn't worry too much yet. The tummy tightening is just braxton hicks contractions. As long as they're not regularly timed, and you're not getting more than 4 an hour, it's probably nothing. Back pain is super common during pregnancy. It's likely just due to the extra weight in your tummy creating a condition called hyperlordosis. Every pregnant woman gets it eventually! You can look up some hip flexor stretches if it gets bad, as they'll usually help keep it at bay. And the period cramps are likely just due to a growth spurt your baby's having. He/she will likely be gaining about half a pound a week at this point, which calls for some major uterine stretching. Unfortunately there's not much to do except sit back and wait. It's all just normal discomforts of the third trimester. Keep an eye on the braxton hicks though, and if you find they're getting more frequent or intense, it wouldn't hurt to go get checked out. Sometimes they can be brought on by an infection somewhere in the body, like a UTI, and that would need to be treated. Also, make sure you're drinking lots of water as even minor dehydration can cause them as well. Good luck!

Braxton Hicks I get them occasionally is just your body preparing for labor. If you have more than 4 in an hour go to the ER or call your doctor. GOOD LUCK

None of that means you're about to go into labor! However if you have a sense it's impending and want to call your dr or midwife that's a good thing to do. My back hurts worse when I have a lot of Braxton hicks like you're describing. If you drink water and take a bath they tend to let up some.
