Any CNA's here?

Question

Any Certified Nursing Assistants here? I have a few questions for you guys.

1. Are you employed at a hospital, nursing home, or etc..?
2. What is your salary? (Hourly/Yearly)
3. Where do you live? (State) you can add city if you want
4. What is your work schedule like?

I'm curious to know because I've read where  some CNA's make $8.50/hr and others $14-15/hr.

CNAs do not get paid enough for what they do. Even here in Ontario they start around $14-$15 usually. I could never do it, I can hardly handle being a nurse and I get paid almost double lol - bless you CNAs. I admire your work ethic immensely.

I just quit a month ago but worked for a home health agency making 10.25. I made 10.64 at a nursing home. Home health was 10 pm to 5 am Sunday to Thursday. Nursing home was 2-10 pm various days.

Not a cna but a patient care technician. I work in a hospital. It doesn't require certification and they hired me with no experience. I was trained on the job. I started at about 9$ and now I make almost 15$ after 7 year. I work in Pennsylvania.

My husband is a cna at a nursing /rehab center. He makes $14.17 an hour and they pay more so that they can be competitive with the hospital. We live in Oregon and minimum wage here is $9.25 so that's a factor too. His schedule is 4 days on, two days off with 8 hour shifts.

I am a cna. I live in alabama and starting out its like $8 an hour. I worked nights in a nursing home and made $8.50. A few months later I got a dollar raise. It's a very tough job. Physically and mentally exhausting. We worked 12 hour shifts. And it was on swing shift so one week you work five days and then the next week only two days. I got certified in Florida and when I started working in the nursing home there I got hired on at $11 an hour. And that was with no experience.

Hey i am a cna in a nursing home in South Carolina and I make $13 and $15 on weekend. I'm part time but I work 7-3. It's a really good nursing career start !

I am and have been for ten years. I've worked all shifts usually vary some start 6am to 2pm or 7am to 3pm, 12 hour shifts, even on 3 days off 4 or weekend doubles. I've worked in nursing facilities with combined care, ranging in rehab to memory care. Lowest pay in my area is when I started $11.75, higest $16.90
