Breastfeeding with flat/inverted nipples

Any mommies or mommies to be have flat or inverted nipples? What were your experience like for breastfeeding or if you're pregnant with your first, are you concerned at all? I really want to breastfeed and my doctor has been assuring me that I shouldn't have a problem breastfeeding but I still feel so unsure about it. I've been told that pregnancy might even help my nipples protrude as my breasts get ready for bf-ing but I am 6 months along and have seen no changes. :( If some women who have normal protruding nipples have a difficult time breastfeeding, what does that mean for me? Anyone? Tell me I'm not alone.
