How many middle names is too many?

I have one middle name, I know people who have two-three middle names. What do you think is the cut off point for middle names?

Two Is sometimes acceptable depending on what and how long the first name is. But definely 3 is way too much.

My older sister has 3 middle names all family names. My younger sister and myself have 1 not family names. My mom did not think she would have 3 girls or she would have saved one for each of us.

My daughter will have a hypenated muddle name so I guess you could say that's 2 names.
