Silly dogs

I have to walk two dogs for a friend tomorrow morning and she has one small dog and one big dog. They are both very friendly but whenever I go to walk them the bigger dog always starts growling or trying to fight. Now when I go out I get really panicky because I don't want to the dog to start fighting someone else's. Any tips please?
