Yes dates can induce labor. Look up studies on NCBI, there are also many other verified studies among other scientific journals which I had access to while in grad school. They are good to eat throughout the pregnancy not just towards the end because they provide a bunch of nutrients, fiber, and simple sugars that is easy for your body to absorb. I blend them with a banana and some strawberries and milk and take them to go as a breakfast shake in the morning.

It does t say ANYTHING about them inducing labor.
This is how false information is spread.
It says it reduced the need for induction. Meaning people who ate dates daily during the last 4 weeks of pregnancy went into labor naturally. But, I've never heard of this, nor can I find the study where they tested it.

I spoke with a woman recently who said she ate dates every day for a week and got acupuncture every day for a week and delivered that weekend.
