How much longer till MC ends???

So Friday I started bleeding brown blood and it continued and was light until yesterday morning and it's like the flood gates opened... went to ER and deff MC, since it has been dark red almost black with quarter sized clots (sometimes bigger)... it's not as heavy now but still a lot of clotting... this is my 1st MC so unsure on how long it will last. Today I would be 6 weeks and 2 days, and I do a follow up tomorrow with OBGYN to ensure everything is OK. I had time to coop with the loss because they informed me of MC prior to it starting. So my question is 1 how much longer should it last 2 when can we start trying again???
