Mice issue while pregnant! Help!

My husband and I have battling a mouse problem since the winter and have successfully caught some. We have dark floors and as I sweep around the house I'll randomly find their droppings- gross. I think it's old though because we haven't found other evidence of them in maybe 3 weeks. If I find their poop I never touch it obviously, just sweep them into a dust pan and wash my hands after. I keep reading about some scary disease they carry that is very dangerous to pregnant women just to be around and now I am freaking out!! I need some peace of mind! As if there aren't enough to things to worry about pregnant!
