Gripe water??

My baby girl is 3 days old and has been really fussy because when she's eating (breastmilk) she gets really bad gas bubbles and tummy ache. I burp her and she burps really good but still has tummy troubles. I read that I can give gripe water to newborns, but does it have to be a certain age? It didn't say on the bottle.

I'd try eliminating dairy, gassy foods like beans, onions, broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower from your diet.  Try to eat minimal chocolate as well.   I never tried gripe water but Mylicon gas drops work really well...

Side note... Has the pediatrician told you to buy Vitamin D for your baby?  The Enfamil brand made my daughter SO gassy or constipated...  We had better luck with Vitamin D drops instead. It's just one drop you put on your finger and put it in the mouth. The Enfamil one is like .5ml and super messy.  The drops really helped eliviate the gassy problem.

I have been using gripe water since about a few weeks old. He can't handle formula. I switched so many time. I was supplementing. But it works wonders!!! I just gave him some! Lol he has so much gas and whinny. Now he's playing! Lol

I have been giving my son gripe water when he gets fussy and nothing soothes him. I assume he was gas. It days 2.5 ml for newborns. After 1 month, you can do 5 ml. The one we use is all natural. It works sometimes. He likes taking it too.

It's could be your diet- you can start cutting things one by one to see if it helps her tummy- usually if babies that are ebf get tummy aches it's due to something mom ate- for example try cutting out all dairy and see if you see improvement, if not try something else

You should ask her pediatrician...mine recommended Mylicon for gas and Colic Calm for colic.
