Is it safe to use a heating pad?

I'm having TERRIBLE lower back pain. I had back issues (along with fibromyalgia and lupus) before pregnancy and my back is hurting even worse now. I'm 14w5d. I can't sleep due to the pain. Is it safe to use a heating pad on my lower back?

Yes it is safe! I'm a physical therapist assistant and I am also pregnant with back pain and always use hot packs at work for my low back. Relieves pain! Just no heat on the belly! 👌🏼😊
