Help , please & thank you!

My period was one day late. The next day I started a light period, not normal for me. I have heavy periods and they are extremely painful. I'm also not just bleeding red blood, but brown. Not to light not to dark. I'm also experiencing some abdominal pains. I don't know if I should be worried. Is this normal for anyone else? Ive never had a period like this.
