Stripped Membranes

Hey May mommies :) I know a lot of you have already had your babies. So I was wondering if any of you had any success with labor starting soon after getting membranes stripped? I'm 39 weeks today and 4cm so my midwife stripped mine at my appointment this morning. I'm having light spotting which she said to expect and cramps too. Just wondered if it has been successful for anyone??
