We've had our sons first name picked out since before we knew we were having a boy but we've been back and forth on middle names. Of ALLLLLL the baby names posts and polls I've been on here I've seen the first name we picked out ONLY ONCE and have definitely never seen the two together but I've still refrained from posting anything stating his name in order to not jinx myself. Well the other day I made a poll for suggestions with his first name and the two middles we've narrowed it down to since we have three weeks left before our due date and lo and behold not two damn days later someone makes a poll with one of the names, first and middle, for their son who's due like 5 months from now. I was livid. I'm still upset just thinking about it. I even removed the poll shortly after getting enough votes so as not to have his name posted up in public for too long. It's not like it's the most magnificent name ever and it's definitely not the most unique but it's MY son's name and of every combination of names someone else can possibly come up with, WHY that ONE?! I can't help but wonder if I had never made that poll if I ever would have seen our name again from someone else. Not like there's never been two kids with the same name but it's the principle of the matter. Maybe I'm just overreacting, I don't know but my son will have his name regardless.
