Gastric Bypass Surgery...Opinions

I'm currently pondering the idea of gastric bypass surgery. I'm pushing 30 & have been struggling with my weight my entire life. I don't have any life threatening medical conditions but I do have PCOS and have been struggling to get pregnant for 3 years. I take medication for PCOS but it makes me very sick, which is one of the reasons why I'm pondering the surgery, so hopefully I can stop taking it if the weight comes off. The other reasons, of course, it to become healthier.
