Acne(?).. Down there. Help.

Okay, so.. It's really embarrassing and it really makes me feel gross at times but I get acne down on my vagina. Not like IN the vagina but just on the outside. I'm assuming it's due to ingrown hairs? Idk I'm just wondering if this happens to anyone else and if there's any way of getting rid of any bumps or acne of the sort.
