Measuring Small?

Question

Last doctors appointment she mentioned my baby was measuring small. At 35 weeks, weighing in at 5lbs, in the 15th percentile.

I now have to go twice a week to get Non-stress tests and sonograms. Has anyone else experienced this?

Same here I'm 38 weeks and 2 days and my baby is measuring small in the 11th percentile. And have to go twice a week as well for non stress test and stuff. They've even considered inducing me because she hasn't really put on much weight but she's healthy so I try not to stress about it much.

I had the same thing. When I went for a growth scan the baby was in the 15th percentile. That was at about 34 weeks I think. My doctor said 15th is fine as long as it didn't drop below 10th. Then the next time I saw him he said even 10th is fine at this point and 3rd would be a concern but it wasn't likely to drop that low. He said I just make small babies and it'll be 6.5 to 7 pounds instead of 9 or 9.5 pounds. At my next growth scan 2 weeks later the baby was measuring in the 26th percentile. I'm sure your baby is just fine. I was freaking out at first and it's hard not to but just remember all of the things they do are estimates.

I wouldn't stress it.  The measurements are just an estimate and some babies are just small.  I've measured a week behind my entire pregnancy and my doctor isn't worried at all.  She said he's just a little guy.

I'm going through this exact thing. I'm 35w today and my OB sent me to a specialist to test the placenta, make sure it's passing everything to baby as expected. Baby weighs 4lbs10oz today. I'll know more when the OB has the results. Sending good thoughts to you and baby.
