Dog licking air?

My dog has started licking the air almost constantly when I'm around. My husband says he doesn't do it when I'm at work or out of the house only at night when I get home. Do you think it's anxiety because I'm pregnant? Change in environment with baby stuff coming in?

My dog does this same thing constantly and it annoys me to no end because I hate to hear "smacking"

I'm a certified dog trainer and that can be a sign for stress. They know when things are changing around them. I would try to do some training and maybe get a treat ball so they feel special. Look into family paws they have a lot of good info for new baby and dog

It could be an anxiety thing. I have also heard that they lick ( mostly their paws or like the couch or the rugs) for comfort. Like a soothing thing.

When I first moved out and took my dog she would do it only at night, I kinda think it was because she was too hot, it was summer and she sleeps in between my hahband and I, and because she was nervous in her new surroundings. She eventually stopped though after about 4 days.
