what do contractions feel like?

I'm a FTM and I'm 37w3d and I have NO clue what contractions are supposed to feel like. My mom and boyfriend are constantly asking me if I feel any pain but I don't know what to be looking for!! I get like little sharp pain here and there that come and go but I don't know what to take seriously and what's just regular pregnancy aches. Someone help?!

Trust me, you will know what a contraction feels like. It's like a period cramp X 10! It's tightening in the stomach and then a release of pressure. You'll want to push with your bottom (like you're going to poop!)

Terrible terrible cramps. Your tummy will harden like crazy and you will definitely know when a contraction is a contraction.

I wonder the same thing as well!!! I never really got cramps with my period so I don't even have that to compare it to.
